Troop 101 reaches 100th

Boy Scout Troop 101, Pomona's oldest troop, oldest troop west of the Mississippi for that matter, celebrated its 100th anniversary this weekend. The troop came to Thomas Plaza in downtown Pomona for a ribbon cutting ceremony hosted by the Pomona Chamber of Commerce and received certificates of appreciation from the Chamber and the Downtown Pomona Owners Association (DPOA). Current and previous Eagle Scouts spoke of the importance of scouting and the positive impact it has had on their lives. Happy Birthday Troop 101..here's to another 100!!
