We are so fortunate as a city to have our own Repertory Opera Company. The hard work and dedication of the troupe, the organizers, and the volunteers shows through at each performance. The Company keeps getting better! If you take the time to attend at least one of their performances, you'll be hooked, guaranteed...even if you're not an opera buff you WILL enjoy the experience. The first opera of the season is The Magic Flute...October 2, 9 & 16.

Greybeard Arrested!

At approximately 11:30 PM last night Mr. Greybeard was arrested by Pomona PD, almost eight hours after he was videotaped stealing a bicycle in downtown. The bicycle was long gone of course, but at least Mr. Greybeard is off our streets (for a while). Good job PD!

Bicycle thief

A regular in the downtown, "Greybeard" as he is known, is a frequent panhandler and bicycle thief. He has been arrested several times but always seems to return. He can be found canvassing the downtown whenever there are crowds. Today was no exception. At 3:41 P.M. this afternoon he used bolt cutters to cut through a bicycle chain and off he went with another bicycle. If you see him call Metro Security at (909) 503-3815 or call Pomona PD at (909) 622-1241.

Augusto Vivanco, DPOA maintenance supervisor is a proud new father! Born September 8, 2010 at 11:14PM, Natalie Vivanco, 7lb.7oz.,19.5 inches, is the newest member of the DPOA extended family. Welcome Natalie!
