New Owners for N.Y. Delight

POMONA, CA -- NY Delight is proud to announce its Grand Opening Celebration, Saturday, October 9^th, 6-9pm during Pomona’s monthly Arts Walk. Now under new ownership, NY Delight is a long time Pomona favorite for the lunch spot for locals and visitors. Beginning October 1st, NY Delight will be operated by new owners, acclaimed Inland Empire artist Alex Couwenberg and gallery owner Andi Campognone, under the direction of Chef Smyth Johnson. Delight will continue its superior lunch service with its award winning sandwiches and catering service. In the coming weeks, Delight will be adding full coffee and pastry service to its daily menu and the addition of free wifi; a remodeled comfy décor will no doubt turn this eatery into the new “hang out” in Pomona. Delight will also be highlighting the work of local artists and participating in the Pomona Arts Colony monthly Arts Walk on every second Saturday.

Chef Smyth Johnson hails from the famed Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts. She worked under Chef Anthony Vidal in Las Vegas at the Hash House A Go Go, known for its "Twisted Farm Food." She also interned with Las Vegas' Amato's Bakery. Chef Smyth will be bringing both her knowledge of comfort food and pastries to NY Delight.

To add to the visitor’s delight, the new owners have vowed to continue their contribution to the art community by offering exhibitions of the highest quality. Featuring Inland Region artists, Delight will have monthly exhibitions of photography and open mic nights for spoken word and musical events. Delight’s grand opening exhibition will feature the photographic work of Lee Tintary. Lee Tintary: Treini Italia will run October 9 - November 6, 2010 with an opening reception on Saturday, October 9, from 6-9pm.

Delight’s new hours of operation starting October 4^th will be Monday thru Thursday, 6am to 3pm and Friday and Saturday from 7am to 9pm.
