DPOA Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting

Tuesday evening the DPOA hosted an open house and ribbon cutting in tandem with the Pomona Chamber of Commerce. The turn out was wonderful. Mayor Elliott Rothman officiated over the ribbon cutting with assistance from Miss Pomona and her Court, Carolyn Hamming DPOA President, and Larry Egan, DPOA executive director. Councilmembers Rodriguez, Atchley, Lantz, and Saunders were also on hand. Community leaders, downtown merchants, residents and professionals came to welcome the DPOA to its new office. Congresswoman Grace Napolitano, State Senator Gloria Negrette McCloud, Assemblywoman Norma Torres and Mayor Elliott Rothman, on behalf of the City of Pomona, presented certificates of appreciation to the DPOA. Chief of Police Dave Keetle stopped by as well. The center piece of the evening however was the Retrospective show of Fr. Bill Moore's paintings. Sixty Five pieces of his work were on display for all to view.
