Sunday Happenings

A lot was going on Sunday in downtown Pomona and the Historic Lincoln Park District. The day began with the 25th annual Pomona Heritage Home Tour which included a visit to the Ebell Museum of History for registration and a look at the many craft vendors on display. Then on to a tour of five beautifully restored and maintained homes in the Lincoln Park District. Then wrapping up the tour a visit and tour of the Fox Theatre.

After the home tour several people made their way to the American Legion Post #30 at Holt and
Gibbs for an afternoon of fun, food, and entertainment, hosted by Rollo Costello and Miramar Board company. Skateboard demonstrations, great bands and DJ's, and some wonderful vendor booths all contributed to make it a fun experience.

For those hearty souls with energy left over the next stop was the Glass House on W. 2nd St., downtown Pomona where, instead of a concert, guests were sporting roller skates and whirlling around the floor. No reports of broken bones, but several reports of bruised anatomy parts and of course bruised egos.
