In Memory Of Don Hokanson

We at the DPOA
mourn the loss of our friend and Committee Member Don Hokanson. Don was a Pomona Ambassador of the First Order. Everyone who knew him was amazed at his historical knowledge of our City and his unending energy in promoting all that was good and could be good about Pomona.

On a personal note, whenever I asked Don for help, he never said no.

Don was a veteran poll worker and community volunteer. Anyone who followed the city even slightly had heard of his work. My thoughts go out to his family and friends.

We'll miss him. He always volunteered to do a shift at the L.A. County Fair Booth for the Democratic Party, he donated both money and even more valuable his time to help elect candidates running for political office. He was never above doing whatever work was needed.

On a personal note I'll miss his visits to The Magic Door and our discussions of authors and books.
